Hello  Scotty,

Hope you are well.

I am planning to buy used 2014 fusion hybrid which has little over 100k miles on it for $5000. I have seen Carfax report, there are no accidents and did all services regularly. Is it a good idea to go for it?

Sorry find a better plan, they don't have the reliability history of the Prius. I don't recommend any hybrid except 2010 proud and up. Ford is not know for hybrid happy owners. You are better off with a corolla, civic.

Thank you

Not a smart move with any hybrid.

Especially a 7 year old Ford hybrid, out of warranty as well.

Not a smart move. Hybrids fall apart around 100k miles. Toyota hybrids are the best by far but Ford is really not making quality hybrids. I would not buy any hybrid, but if I had to I would get a Toyota. There is a Toyota Camry hybrid for example.

Here is the conclusion I make:

The reasons you should NOT buy a 2014 Ford Fusion problem is because of:

Severe electrical problems

Engine failure

Fuel system problems

Brake problems

Windshield problems

Steering problems

and Transmission issues

I would reccomend reconsidering the thought of buying a Ford Fusion hybrid.

YOU should open your eyes on the problems the 2014 Fusion has....sure its better than the earlier years...2010 being THE WORST...check it out..
