Buying a 1966 Mustang

Hey Scotty,

I greatly enjoy your channel and thanks for all you do! Looking at buying a 1966 Ford Mustang from a private party. It has the I-6, 200ci engine with 56k original miles and a 3-speed manual tranny. What are your thoughts on that particular engine, will it have enough get up and go?

Also, it was recently restored and is claimed to be kept as stock as possible. What are some good things to look at/verify before I buy it?

Thanks and have a blessed day!

Very good, solid engines. Just make sure you have a mechanic check it out and watch out for rust on the body.

Thank you, I will look out for those items, going to see it tomorrow..
