Topic starter
- i have a 2004 monte carlo ss Supercharged L67 3800 series 2 has 200,000 miles on it the oil is topped and changed frequently as well as the transmission fluid and filter and supercharger oil. recently changed sparkplugs and fuel filter
- i recently have had the the cars acceleration take a dump under a load, the car will idle fine i scanned the car and got a few codes 3 i suspect are in relation to the p0300 code the codes (p0300 , p0135 and p0455)
- since i just changed the fuel filter and plugs i decided to check the coil packs they checked out fine i fixed the vacuum lines i know were leaking but no change i put a maf i know is in good working condition
- there are no transmission codes
- symptoms ( idle fine ,underload doesnt accelerate properly very sluggish around 1-2000 rpm and tops off at 4000rpm at 4000 i hear a ticking from the supercharger belt tensioner but i have that ordered and its on the way. i also hear a very loud hiss that was not present til the sluggishness began
- my question is could it be a fuel dilivery problem a belt tensioner since it is driving the supercharger belt it could be slipping causing it to not engage properly. or a vacuum leak.
- i really just need a place to look right now im just scratching my head. im pretty fluent in cars but i dont know everything so some tips would really help with solving this problem!

There are a LOT of things that can trigger misfires - here's what are the most common are https://repairpal.com/obd-ii-code-p0300
Common Problems That Trigger the P0300
- Worn out spark plugs, ignition wires, coil(s), distributor cap and rotor (when applicable)
- Incorrect ignition timing
- Vacuum leak(s)
- Low or weak fuel pressure
- Improperly functioning EGR system
- Defective Mass Air Flow Sensor
- Defective Crankshaft and/or Camshaft Sensor
- Defective Throttle Position Sensor
- Mechanical engine problems (i.e.—low compression, leaking head gasket(s), or valve problems
You're going to have to be methodical to track it down. But getting your supercharger drive sorted would be something that could restore power. A boost gauge might be a gooda idea.
i do have a boost gauge and it reads correctly but mist of that besides fuel have been verified now i just need to be absolutely sure sure that im fixing the right thing
