I WENT AND LOOKED AT 2003 TOYATO AVALON ONE OWNER 39,000 MILES YESTERDAY. CAR APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN WELL MAINTAINED. THINKING CAR HAS SOME MILES LEFT IN IT. IT IS AT AUCTION ENDS TUESDAY 11/10/202@ 7:30 PM

MY CONCERN WILL PARTS BE AVAILABLE IN THE FUTURE AVAILABLE DUE TO AGE?

you can always get parts for those things they're basically fancy Toyota Camrys but on the other hand that age and that mileage I'd be very leery that the mileage is real and not falsified be very leery buying auction cars

@scottykilmer
SORRY FOR NOT BEING CLEAR AUCTION IS AN ESTATE AUTION OWNER PASSED AWAY NO REASON TO SUSPECT MILEAGE ISN'T CORRECT

I recently bought a 2001 Avalon based upon Scotty's sage advice to buy a used car with good bones. (Avalons 1999-2004 are all alike) Yeah there are a bunch of mediocre parts on these Avalons but don't let that stop you... As Scotty has mentioned see that as an opportunity to replace them with good parts! Technology has changed a lot since then and you can cross reference with the Lexus ES350 (the Lexus Avalon).

Do change the things the basics: Battery (Interstate MTX-35), Tires, Good oil (Toyota's  etc. It has made a world of difference in my vehicle. Do buy a new OEM gas cap (77310-48020) because they wear out and cause all kinds of odd engine codes to pop up.

Some tips:
1) Nonda Zus has a good suite of product that will modernize your vehicle (tire pressure monitor, battery monitor in the charger, etc) Incredible quality.

2) Detroit Axle makes great products with OEM fit. (Brakes, Suspension parts, Struts) I bought the higher end brakes and they have made the car so much safer. Struts: If you've seen Scotty's video about the width of the springs being important you'll know why the OEM specifications are so important. It drastically changes the ride. Detroit Axles are an exact match.

3) Tires: I changed the crappy 15 inch OEM rims to Lexus brand from a 2008 ES350. It's 17 inch and is perfect for the car. Found a great used set on Facebook Marketplace for about $165. A great used set of Goodyear Assurance Outlast are a perfect match for the Avalon. (225-50-17)

4) Floormats: I like a neat vehicle and finding quality all weather mats are nearly impossible to find. Weathertechs do not exist.. next best thing? Believe it or not the OEM mats from a 2014 Avalon are an excellent fit. Many people dump them when they buy Weathertechs for their 2014. I picked up a set used for 10 days (basically brand new) for only $20. Search on Facebook marketplace, offer up and craigslist.
