Hello Scortty,
I am looking to buy either a used 2013 Toyota Corolla or a Kia Optima 2012 EX( 2.4L without Turbo).
Please, could you help with some advice on which one I should go for?

Go for the Toyota. Do not even think about Kia.

Agree with yaser. Run away from the Kia. Many early engine failures in that model.

Oh, definitely go for the Toyota Corolla: there is no comparison. You may pay more for the Corolla, but it will last far longer and with fewer headaches.

Don’t forget to have it checked out thoroughly by a professional mechanic, before purchase.

No comparison Corolla all the way. The Optimas are junk, don't even think about buying one.
