Hey Scotty I’m thinking of getting my mothers 2015 Honda Civic, with 48k miles and it’s an automatic. How long would it last me and is there anything to watch out for. I did most of the maintenance regularly.

It's a honda, so you have a higher chance of totaling the car before the engine goes out. Just keep up with regular maintenance and you'll be good.
The Honda Civic is a great car. As long as you follow the maintenance intervals described in the owners manual and value the information in the "I need to buy a vehicle" section of the FAQ, you should be happy with it. Have a mechanic check it out first before buying.
That is a solid car, go ahead and buy it. It can last you forever. The only weak link would be the transmission, but even in 2015 Honda automatic transmissions weren't as bad as they once were.
