buying a used car from carmax

i am looking for a toyota corolla with less than 50000 miles used or camry. what years donot have recalls ? or any kind of problems ,what are the better years to look for and prices ?  or i may just buy a new 2021 toyota,because i can afford a new one iam just worried about buying used with no warranty on them i like your self am cheap but i do have the cash to spend.thanks for your kind. walt,ATL,GA.

I wouldn't have an issue buying used. You could likely haggle a better price buying used private party, but if you don't mind paying a bit more Carmax is an easy way to go.

Corollas are pretty good I would look for 2015+ the sedan variant and carmax is a decent place.  For the Camry, I would just skip on it because the newer ones had shudder problems till 2016 and a different set of transmission problems in 2018.  They usually have a return policy and during that period, have a mechanic do a pre-purchase inspection on it and make sure it is in good shape. If it is, keep it Corollas are good cars. If you could find a Camry do the same make sure the transmission issues have been fixed.

They usually have pretty good cars though especially Carmax has more clean cars than Carvana.
