Hey Scotty, I been thinking about getting a used 2001 Toyota celica. It’s been on my car wish list for a while now and I came across one for 33 hundred bucks around my area. It has 184,000 miles on it and it has an automatic transmission. I’m buying it from a private party that says it has a clean title with a recently passed smog which is important here in California. Paint job seems okay with some minor sun damage on the spoiler. However this guy has only had it for a month after buying it from another guy. I still have to go test drive it but from its description, what are some pros and cons about this car?
Walk away. My guess is he is flipping it and paid a song for it just to sell it to you at an increased price.
Anytime anyone has a car for a month and is selling it, something is either wrong with the car or they are flipping for a profit which means they know nothing about the car and you're overpaying.
