I’m in the market for a new full-size pickup truck replacing my 2016 Silverado 1500 which has been in the shop longer than I have driven it. I have done some research but it is very controversial reading, I’m looking for a reliable truck for at least 5 years and if A used one is the way to go I’m good with that, from what I can tell from what I read titan or tundra are front runners.....
When buy a full-size truck that is newer, get a Tundra for sure. If you can't afford a Tundra than get a 2014-2016 Ford F-150 with the 5.0L V8 as these years for the 5.0L didn't have GDI, which added a few issues to the 5.0L V8. I would definitely stay away from a Nissan Titan, Ram 1500, and Chevy Silverado (and it's twins) as they are pretty bad. If you are shopping for new than I would say just the Toyota Tundra, nothing else.
