Buying used truck

hey Scotty so I am currently searching for a used truck. I’ve settled on ford brand due to price and budget. My questions is should I be looking for a f150 4x4 (because I live in the north west) with v8 or the naturally aspirated V6 of 3.7 3.5 or 3.3. Most of them have high miles 110k and above. But they all fit below my budget of 20k with the median trucks running 15k or less. Would it be a good buy?

As long as it is a naturally aspirated engine (NOT AN ECOBOOST), it shouldn’t be too bad of a buy. They are not the best vehicles out there (Toyotas are the best). Regardless make sure you have a mechanic you trust check it out before purchase.

@fishingandcarsenthusiast123 yeah I was looking into tundras land tacomas but they hold such a resale value that most of them break my budget, unless I’m willing to pay for a 200k 2005 for 12k. But I’m using it more for when I have to haul loads from Home Depot because my 2009 2.4 Camry doesn’t have that much space and it’s still my daily driver
