Hi i have a 2011 honda civic. I have experienced twice when I try to turn on the ignition after accessory position, i just heeard a buzzz sound. Happened to me twice but after retrying to start the engine, it starts. Just happened to me twice tho not always
The 10 year old ignition switch may be wearing out.
Will it affect if the steering wheel is not centered?
Shouldn't.
My personal experience is that people that have a lot of junk on their key chains seem to wear out ignition switches rather quickly.
Is it your starter solenoid chattering or something inside the car? Can you upload a video demonstrating the noise?
I cannot replicate the sound because it just happened to me twice and never happened again. One time is when I am on an awkward position trying to switch the ignition. The other is when i straightly open the ignition before the dash opens up
