Bying Honda civic 2008 288000km?

A private seller has a civic 2008, the rounded bodyshape 5door, he wants around 3500 US dollars for it but could possibly go down a bit in price..the ad says. Its not broken or none working in any area according to advert and rust free.. if a honda from 2008 with 288 000km in sweden can be that.. but looks rustfree in pictures. How about clutch and chain and so on etc(?)?? can it hold up for 3-4years if it feels and sound good on a testdrive? (I found it on Marcetplace and havent seen it IRL yet! -The ad say its for sale again do to a un serious buyer that pulled out on the deal!) Any other thing worth knowing/considering? Its a 1.8 petrol 140hpw v-tech, with tooing-hook. It has some normal wear & tear the ad says do. The headlights looks a bit foggi in the pictures. Buy or pass(?)??..Ore find something else(?)... maybe a vw polo etc. -made in germany! What would anyone here say on the forum, or Scotty himself? (Its inspected and in trafic!) I will try to copy a picture. Best Regards!

If indeed it was used for towing as you indicated, I would be very suspicious and have it thoroughly check out.

A Honda Civic hatchback is a very good car to pick up. Take it to a reputable mechanic for a Pre-Purchase Inspection just in case the seller isn't hiding anything.

Good alternative choices include any VW Group cars powered by their TDI diesel engines as well as Toyotas.
