Bypassing the auto stop feature

I recently purchased a 2018 Chevy Equinox (certified pre-owned) with roughly 43,000 miles at the time. It is an automatic with the low/manual feature that allows you to drive it like a manual vehicle. So far the only feature that I don’t like is the ‘auto stop’ feature it has. I understand that they are putting them in all of their newer vehicles. Is there a safe way to bypass this feature? I saw one video on youtube by a chevy dealership owner that said if you put it in the low/manual feature and crank the gears up to the max number if gears it has that this would bypass it. I am a little more than skeptical. Is this safe for the transmission or will it just where it out faster/ create more issues than it is worth? And if I am unable to safely bypass the system, should I be concerned about premature wear and tear in the if ignition system, starter, etc?

I know in Chrysler products there is a button to disable the auto start stop if there is one in your car just press it if not try putting it into neutral at lights.
