What work are you looking to have done on the Corvette?  If basic stuff like oil change, transmission fluid change, differential change - for example - suspension, brake work, coolant change, etc. you don’t need a Corvette mechanic, just a very good, honest mechanic like Scotty.  I have a 2004 C5 Corvette that I sometimes take to my own mechanic (he is not a Corvette specialist but is like Scotty - knows his stuff well).  We had some recommend mechanics from Houston listed here (under FAQ):

Now if you need a clutch changed out on a manual transmission (ooooh weeeeh - as Scotty would say), you’d need the whole torque tube dropped and for that you want someone who has done that before on Corvettes (for that I would have to go to a Corvette specialist;  I wouldn’t even let Scotty do that - need a full lift to change out)

If you are in Houston and know how to get to Spring, Frank's Vettes off Louetta is an excellent place to have your Corvette taken care of. Much cheaper than Corvette World. And I know Frank personally. He has been in the business for a long time and the ONLY cars he works on are Corvettes. Period. His shop has a stellar reputation.
