Hi
2016 Equinox LTZ, 43,000 miles, V6, Damn cabin is so loud on many highways (Illinois) I can't stand it. I changed tires already, it did not help. I had (original tires)Michelin Touring I took off and now I now have "NEW" Michelin Touring Tires, $1000.00, sized per mfr. I took both interior rear interior quarter panels out, spare tire area out, along with the rear deck lid and all 4 doors and lined door skins and inner door panels with DynaMat. I added Dyna Pad under floor mats. I added 1/2 thick padding just behind the interior panels on all 4 door panels and rear deck too. I rubber undercoated the plastic front wheel wells on both sides and NOTHING... Still loud on concrete quieter on some asphalt roads. I say its vibrations through out the entire car because the, EQUINOX IS A <POS>, built with cheap, chintzy, thin materials that act like a tuning fork and noise is coming in from everywhere... Am I right? If not how do quit down the ROAD NOISE!!!!! Ja
Profanity removed.
You are totally right but I mean he's been all that money on tires and it didn't help try to find a sound insulation expert and see what he can do to truly insulate it as a professional I've seen guys make even Ford vans run quiet by putting a ton of insulation
