My neighbor wants to sell me her parents 1981 cadillac brougham with 91,000 miles for $500. The only problem with it is that it needs a new fuel pump. She's also told me that it's been sitting in the backyard for a few years. Should I buy it?

Old Cadillacs are money pits. $500 is super cheap, but be prepared to sink a LOT more into it than that if you buy it.
I would be hesitant to buy anything that's just been sitting somewhere for "a few years".
