Cadillac Escalade 2002 Front Shocks

My daughter is coming to visit us for 6 weeks with 6 grandchildren.  The cost to rent an SUV to seat her and their family was estimated to be $5,000.00.  I decided it would be smarter to buy a big car then resell at the end of their trip or I may just save it for her. I bought Grandpa's 2002 Escalade with 90,000 miles on it (4 wheel Drive) It appears to be well taken care of.  They replace the rear shock and look's to be with the same air shock.  The car rides hard, on a rough road, it seems to throw you around.

I am going to check that the fuse, relay, and air compressor are working.  The front shocks are original so I am going to replace them.

Monroe's direct replacement OEM type (40044) is $300 each Bilstein or similar (Arnott 2760) https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=6370836&cc=1411827&pt=7556&jsn=8 are around $130 plus some come with resistors to fool the computer thinking they are OEM.

Which way would you advise me to go?

Would the Arnott's it interfere with traction control or stability?  Would it be better than OEM

I would like the caddy to ride like a caddy

Thank you

Joe
