Hey Scotty.
Is it good to go through all the recalls that have been placed on my Cadillac SRX 2011 3.0 engine.
You can view all vehicle recalls for free on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) website. Simply enter the vehicle VIN number.
The website also lists Technical Service Bulletins (TSB) that vehicle manufacturers send out to dealership technicians on how to repair common issues with the vehicle.
I find the TSB information on NHTSA lacking and hard to search through. I imagine OEM service websites and 3rd party service websites such as All Data, Mitchell ProDemand, and Identifix have much better TSB and service campaign information than NHTSA, but they all charge a monthly subscription fee and aren't free.
I found a way to check which recalls have been completed on Chevy vehicles. https://www.chevrolet.com/ownercenter/recalls
@oskool thanks for the reply.
@oskool thanks for the reply.
Well yeah they have to fix stuff for free. Just realize they're going to try to sell you all kinds of other crap if they agree to do anything for free. So just tell them you're not paying for anything extra
