is the both 2019s caddy ct6 V or cts V good cars or not (im just wondering) 🤔Â
When you say CTS-V I presume you are referring to the MY 2016-2019 CTS-V with the 6.2L supercharged V8 making 640 hp/630 lb-ft toque. Â It has a great chassis and very fun to drive but the weak point is the GM-designed 8-speed AT. Â It essentially ruins the experience. Â Also, with that much power and skinnier tires it has a tough time putting all the power down to the ground - but some like that!
The other one CT6-V is a twin-turbo 4.2 L V8 making 550 hp/640 lb-ft torque paired with Ford/GM-designed 10-speed AT.  This vehicle is larger than the CTS-V so driving dynamics will be different.  Also, it is AWD whereas the CTS-V is RWD only.  There’s been some issues with the 10-speed supposedly addressed with software.  The CT6-V being a flagship sedan has more technological bells/whistles, rides more comfy, and heavier.
Lots of good reviews on both - from a driving enthusiast perspective.
However.......they don’t make either anymore and due to poor GM quality (and these engines/electronics are very complicated) I would never recommend buying, only leasing if you absolutely must have one!
The only notable Cadillac V-Series were the XLR-V and the CTS-V.
Â
Both were fun to drive but man, when something goes wrong the repairs are outrageous. They are the kind of cars I'd like to borrow from a friend to drive but would never actually purchase, especially since their values are highly inflated on the used market right now.
Good cars in terms of what?
Both are junk in every aspect you consider.Â
I laughed out loud because I was thinking about how to say that nicely. But you said what I really wanted to say, and it is the truth.
like i understand but the thing i want to know is what problems do they have, i understand these 2 and there different cause one have the corvette z06 engine and the other one was hand made (and 100 of these were made) also i dont do crazy stuff cause i take care of the cars. EX; i own a 1961 chevy belair (good car) and i sometimes like to do for fun and sometimes i want to be careful of like going too fast over 90 (which i don't) but that all i want to know of the V series (sorry if i ever made this paragraph a long one😅) and thxs
Well, the engines are decent but the transmissions do not hold up. You have to remember these cars are HEAVY, so you are putting a lot of power and strain through that drivetrain. Also you have all the typical Cadillac bells and whistles that constantly act up and require a mechanic trip to fix. They are very pricey vehicles to own and operate.
