Camry 7th Gen Gear shifter Hard to move from Park

Hello got the 7th Gen Camry 2AR-FE 180K Miles 6-Speed I believe. I bought it used and never bothered to ask this but does the shifter really take a bit of force to move from Park to Reverse? Within Reverse, Neutral, and Drive it seems to just be fine, and moving the shifter back to Park takes minimal effort. No delays in engaging from gear to gear just curious if that force I use to move from Park to Reverse is normal on these generations of Camry.

Another note, I saw some splatter on the hood which I think is coolant, does this mean that I have to replace the water pump? Coolant reservoir level is fine. No issues overheating.

Do you park on a hill?

Hi,
No its not on a hill. And I know what you meant. If its on a slight hill yes it does require more force to disengage the vehicle from park so I started applying the emergency foot brake almost all the time.
Before, I thought it would be a bit easier to disengage if I have the foot brake engaged and in a sense it is a bit easier to disengage from park but not by much.
