There was a sudden squeaking sound from my bay, the mechanic said the cause was the magnetic clutch of my AC. He told me not to take my car anywhere now cause it may cause overheat.

Well if it is locked on and it squeals yeah that will break the belt and then the water pump won't work or it'll slow the belt down the water pump won't spin fast enough to cool the car
