If a car is under warranty, but the dealership refuses to fix a car under warranty, can you file a lawsuit against it?

you can take anybody to court if you have a valid case.

If your warranty claim meets all the conditions in the fine print, and they don't honor it, then yes of course. It's called breach of contract.

You can also read up on the lemon law, which is related.

Yes, although in some cases you have to go through arbitration first

No reputable dealer is going to deny a warranty repair. If a warranty repair is questionable, the process is the dealer tells the manufacturer what your issue is, and the manufacturer says yes they'll cover it or no they won't. The dealer is only the middle man and in that case you will lose in court as they are at the mercy of the manufacturer and MUST do as they are told or the manufacturer can pull their dealer license.

This is a very vague question. Are you having a particular problem that isnt being addressed, or is this hypothetically speaking?
