Have a 2014 chevy equinox with the 2.4 ecotec and for a while now it has been making this noise when driving and on rev, very loud during startup when cold. Could it be timing chain? No codes pulled with the OBD2 https://youtu.be/w0jzjCRUoTo the video does not do it justice on how loud it can be. Thanks guys
What is the mileage?
Mileage is 63k, sorry forgot to add that.

Have you popped the hood to look? It could be a lot of things. These modern engines are quite complex. VVT, GDI, timing chains etc... One would have to get in there to investigate with a stethoscope.
First I would make sure it isn't something easy and belt driven. Check the FAQ.
