Can I put larger tires on car

Hi, I bought a 2014 Mazda CX5 Touring last year from a Chevy dealership. It had 50,000 miles on it. So far everything's great, but it has 17 inch tires on it, and I wanted to put the 19 inch tires, which the Mazda CX5 Grand Touring comes with. Is this possible, or not advised? Would putting larger tires mess with the electronics? Thank you!

The 17" and 19" is the wheel size, not the tire size.

You CAN put on larger tires, but you have to be careful so you don't have the tires rub, mess up your speedometer readings, etc.  Though there are a lot of other choices as far as buying tires and wheels, you can see what will fit at tirerack.com.

If the size is fitted to other versions of the same body, you're probably OK - and you might be able to buy the wheels used.

Are you meaning the tire diameter is 19 inches, or the wheel diameter? If you mean the wheel diameter, If you can get a set of factory 19" wheels for your Mazda, then they should just swap on in place of your 17" wheels. Usually the tire diameters themselves are the same, the wheels are different sizes. If the 19" wheels have skinnier sidewalls than the 17" wheels, they're probably the same outside diameter.  You would have no issues. A 19" tire won't mount on a 17" rim.
