Can you drive a 2008 Camry LE automatic in gear 4, instead of D, if you have a shift solenoid issue when it's in D? Would it hurt anything long term if the max mph was 65? I've taken it out as such, but didn't know if it would cause any further long term issues. Seems to ride fine and I don't end of getting a check engine light while driving in 4.

it's not good for the engine to be in 4th gear all time . The other gears exist for a reason. Not to mention you'll be cooking your fluid in the torque converter until it gets up to speed. If you want the car to last then fix the transmission.
