Looking at new mid-sized SUV and are leaning toward a Honda Passport (2024). Any advice or insight on these?
thanks.
Well if you don't mind the price they are pretty well made vehicles. I would say compare that to some Toyotas road. Test them both and see what you like better
@scottykilmer thanks Scotty, I don't like the price, but kinda is what it is. Highlanders are too big. Rav4s too small, 4Runner (I have had 2, still drive the 2000 manual at 240000) wife says too much like a truck..
The Passport is based on the Pilot and Ridgeline platform. It’s kinda like a shorter Pilot. Or an SUV version of the Ridgeline. These are all based on a unibody platform. So they will feel more car like. The Honda V6 engine it uses has been around forever, and has a pretty good track record.
I think you are right with respect to the Pilot size. The Highlander is too big, and the RAV4 is too small. And Toyota doesn’t really have anything in between en masse. And they really don’t have a direct rival for the Passport.
4Runners are wonderful, but they are really more truck like.
