I have a 2003 Honda Civic LX automaticOBD2 code is p1457 but the question I have is concerning a grinding sound when I put it in reverse and my front driver side tire start smoking like something is literally stopping it from reversingNow it's making the grinding sound periodically while driving and feels like the transmission may be slipping or not shifting on time. Can you help me figure out what the problem is?

Well if the wheel is grinding either your brakes are locking up or you got a problem with you. The wheel bearing braking or the CV joint on that side. Braking. I would fix it as soon as possible. Because it could damage the transmission if it goes on dragging on that side
