My carfax says that before coming to Michigan my car was retired in Canada. By the looks of the maitinince records it was maybe a lease vehicle? Not sure but is that what that means? Your thoughts on vehicles built since 2009 and Retired?
Hmm, interesting one. Maybe call Carfax and ask them what this designation on their report really translates to. Keep in mind if it was in Canada then it may likely have underbody rust due to the weather there. Maybe try finding something similar in a more southern area. What kind of vehicle is it?
@subawoo
It's a 2010 Infiniti Ex35 awd journey. Bought it 6 months back. Live in Mich myself so know about the rust and for 10 yrs and 133,000 it's in good shape. Bought from franchised auto repair shop owner who bought replaced sway bars, breaks, etc. and drove for just over a year. Nicely taken care of car. Almost every maitinince schedule recorded. Retired just new to me?
Seems like a good deal to me. Sometimes lease vehicles are very well kept, if that's what car fax means by "retired"
