Hello Mr Kilmer, how reliable is a 1990 Dodge Ram D150. It has the 5.2L carburated V8 with a 3 speed automatic transmission and RWD. It has about 140k miles on it and it was made in Detroit. Is this car very reliable or is it on the verge of being a Dodge fail?

Is this going to be used as a daily driver or what use will it see? That is 31 years old now so not recommended for a daily.

I don't think how reliable it was back then has any bearing on its reliability now. It is a very old vehicle.
I would say if you want a project then maybe if you can get it dirt cheap. But for daily duty, no way.
