Hey Scotty,
Where can I look to find the actual cost of a car so I know how bad the dealer markup is?

You would have to know how much money people are actually paying, which is pretty hard. Those numbers don't get recorded anywhere. You can look at local classifieds or Craigslist to get an idea of what the ASKING prices are, but you'd have to subtract from that too.

It depends on the area you are. You should go and look up in CL to see how much the car you want is sell for.
