Hello everyone I have a 2013 Toyota Corolla with 112,000 miles auto 1.8l
yesterday I was driving it went to get gas after getting gas I go to turn it on and nothing. I get out adjust the battery terminals and the car starts then dies right away I then try to start it again it turns on and runs just fine. I got home disassembled the terminals and cleaned them real good.This morning when I go to start it the car started then instantly died, I go to start it again and the car started and ran fine. The battery is only about a year old. My initial thought is just replace both battery cables. But I’m not sure. Thanks for the help
Is the security light on?
Get the alternator tested.
Are you a car dealer or something? you have a new one each month.
@imperator no security light.
Not a dealer. I occasionally help friends with cars and used to flip few years ago. Now Im typically just posting when personal vehicles have problems
Gotcha. Well it could be a failed fuel pump too. They often fail right after filling up. Measure fuel pressure to see.
I get out adjust the battery terminals and the car starts
Do the terminals and wires have a secure connection? Do they wiggle if you try and move them?
