- Hi Scotty, I have a 2005 Mercury Grand Marquis w/ 182,000 miles that goes into limp mode when you press the accelerator too hard/quickly. If you baby it, it won’t mess up. I’ve replaced the throttle body and accelerator pedal and also cleaned the MAF really well. Still having problems. I’ve tried taking the battery terminals off and after it sits a while, the car runs fine… only to act up again. Should I have a shop flash my PCM? I’m running out of ideas. Thanks!
