Hello, I have a scion tc 2006 and I'm not totally sure what's going on with my car. It all started when my car didn't want to start. One day my car started to crank slower than usual. Sometimes it would start like normal and other times it took a couple more seconds to start, thought nothing of it until it stop working completely! Car would not start and not even a crank. I myself changed out the starter hoping it was the problem and it ended up starting thank god. But during the process I had to take out the battery. After taking out the battery my car randomly would act very strange. When I started car the cars functions would be not working. No ac, no window down, no radio, and not all cylinders were firing. But slowly the car would gradually start working normal. Cylinders firing all well again, radio works and ac works again but the cranking of the car is still starting at random times. Im getting worried because i dont know whats happening. Car works perfectly fine but the starts arent steady. sometimes it starts good sometimes is takes a couple seconds more. Any ideas on whats going on or why my car turned into a potato after taking the battery out? PS. i started taking out the battery as a test and again things would not work until the 4th or 5th start and some still dont work at all.
Have the battery low tested first the weak battery can do just. If not that corroded battery terminals or corroded wiring from battery to starter and battery to ground would cause it check for corrosion or loose contact anywhere in electrical system
Ive looked for all corrosion or loose wiring and could not diagnose the problem. All wiring looks good and everything looks sturdy. Could this be a problem in the computer? Everytime my battery is taken out the car acts very strange and this only started when the car needed a replacement on a starter.
