I have a 2015 kia forte lx 1.8 dohc. I just replaced the spark plugs, ignition coils, alternator, both o2 sensors, map sensor, purge valve solenoid, and gas cap cause the cap that came with the car wasn't oe and would cause a check engine light. After I pump gas and fill to the click, the car struggles too start, sometimes it stays on sometimes it will turn off. On second attempt it will start right up. But if I'm not pumping gas and remove the cap and put it back on it will start right up. But as soon as I fill up it struggles to start. I can hear the fuel pump prime. Should I try replacing the fuel filter? Or would be a seal or gasket that's causing the issue?
it's a typical sign of failing fuel pump. Measure fuel pressure to verify.
It's the purge valve. It's stuck open. So when I put gas in it can't handle the back pressure. 5 minute fix.
