Hi Scotty, you're knowledge and enthusiasm is 2nd to none and we love watching your videos from Arvada Colorado. there is a stop and go light in my neighborhood that if you don't catch it just right, you are sitting for 3 minutes at the red light. I have a 2006 Hyundai Azera , automatic transmission 3.8 v6- should I : 1. leave it in gear with foot on the brake 2. shift into neutral position with foot on the brake or put it in park and removed foot from brake pedal- not sure which is best for an automatic 3.8 v6 transmission- thanks friend and God Bless =)
Leave it in drive. 3 minutes is nothing for idling in gear. If something happens in front of you or behind you and you gotta make a quick move, the 3-4 seconds you spend putting it in gear and the tranny engaging might cause you to be involved in the accident, etc.
