Hello! i have a 200 chevy impala with 244000 miles on it and its making a weird noise dont want to get rid of the car because it belonged yo my great grandma who passed but the AC compressor doesn't work anymore and the noise is coming from the engine it still runs fine with the noise but im concerned it will leave me stranded

Is it a tick, knock, rattle? I can't answer, if i don't know what sound it's making. Get it on video and upload it to a google drive and make a shareable link.

What kind of noise are you hearing and what part of the engine is it coming from?
This information will help determine the feasibility of repair or replace the car.
