Hello! i have a 2000 chevy impala with 244000 miles on it and its making a weird noise dont want to get rid of the car because it belonged yo my great grandma who passed but the AC compressor doesn't work anymore and the noise is coming from the engine it still runs fine with the noise but im concerned it will leave me stranded

what does the noise sound like? does it sound only when you are in parked or when you drive in the freeway? can you record a video clip of the sound?
