Car keeps stalling

hello, I have a 2001 bmw 330ci, 181k miles and I recently started having issues. I was heading to work and when I turned off my road I got on it a little bit in 1st gear up to 2nd and I heard it make a noise and it stalled when I pushed in the clutch and rolled up to the stop sign. I was able to drive it home but it kept surging and jerking. It died anytime I had to come to a stop. When I run the car it will run for about 10 seconds and while it’s running it makes hissing noises from the engine bay, struggles to run, and occasionally a slight knocking and then it will stall. I scanned p0171 and po174 and a misfire code which I assumed was because of whatever is wrong with it. I suspected vacuum leak but I’m not sure. I’d appreciate any help, thanks.

look for vacuum leak first. Check the FAQ on this forum for more info.

The usual suspects - vacuum leaks, low fuel pressure, MAF, MAP, dirty air filter, low alternator output, etc.
