Car making noises

Topic starter

I have a 2014 Vauxhall Corsa Design, it had been off the road for a couple of years for various reasons. Recently I took it to a mechanic for a service and MOT. The mechanic fitted new brake discs and pads. I'm not aware of exactly which checkpoints are made as part of the service, but remember asking him to check the timing belt. He said the belt is okay. Anyway, I picked the car up and now it appears to be in worse condition than when I took it. Upon acceleration there is a deep, throaty sound, it doesn't sound good. As I said, the car had been off the road, so I can't be sure if the problem was already there when I took it to the mechanic, now my car has begun to make a high pitch noise. I pull up on my driveway with the window open, turn the ignition off, as I do that I can hear a squeaking sound. I've been waiting to take it to an official Vauxhall dealership/mechanic next week, but does anyone have an idea about what those noises could be? Your feedback will be appreciated, thank you
