Car overheating when stopped

I need help, when I’m at a stop light my temp gage starts to rise when I’m sitting for like a 1 min or 2. But when I start driving the gage goes down I checked the cooling fans were working I checked the radiator cap as well and it seemed ok. I was thinking I need to refill on the coolant.

ps it’s a 1994 Honda Accord

They may be running, but are they blowing enough air?

If coolant is low it could cause this. Failing water pump can cause this. Doesn’t move much water at idle but picks up at higher RPM’s. Clogged radiator can be the cause to. I believe a 94 accord the water pump drives off the main belt. It could be slipping at idle. Get a thing called belt dressing at local parts store. Try it, if problem goes away you need a new belt.
