Car pick was low but when i open and close fuel tank cap pick up is back to normal

Hello ,

While driving I noticed that pick was very low and there was lot of lag when I hit the acceleration.

What I noticed later was that when i open and close the fuel tank cap the pick is back to normal.

I don't know.which component is causing this issue, and how it is getting fixed by just opening and closing the fuel tank cap.

When i open the fuel tank cap I hear air sucking in to the tank which is good.

But don't how pick and gas tank cap removal and putting back on is fixing the pick up issue

no, it's not. The tank isn't venting properly. The engine is probably starved of fuel.

What's "pick"?

acceleration?

Yes pick up / acceleration and I also notice that that there is a lag for rpm to increase when i accelerate.

Vehicle details: Renault Duster
Has done 62k miles, manual transmission, and gives good mileage 45 miles per gallon
