Hi, I'm not trying make this too big a thing. So this is a 2005 Honda ex-l. From my research I hear it's one of the better years/models. But I have 2 pics here that I was needing help with. I'm planning on going to see this tomorrow and I'm gonna take my pops. He definitely doesn't know much about cars like me, but he probably knows a little more then me, as I don't have a mechanic around to take. So I was just wondering about these 2 pics, guy is asking 3400 hundred and it has 157,000 miles on it. From these 2 pics I see a crack in the front bumper with some small imperfections near that. the other, there is a small hole in the back driver side, which I found weird but I know nothing. My question is about these issues. What are some very good questions I can ask about these imperfections besides the obvious ones?

I wouldn't worry too much about the specific circumstances which resulted in those cosmetic damages.

Maybe read through and watch some of the videos in our FAQ about buying a used car

https://carkiller.com/scottykilmer/qa/used/

You want to evaluate the engine, transmission, frame/underside for excessive rust, steering and suspension, catalytic converter.....

the expensive stuff.

It would be helpful to bring a scanner with you and to check for codes and the I/M readiness monitors (that will tell you if any codes were recently cleared).

Yeah the scan tool is a good idea. I'll probably buy one before I go

Are you thinking of buying this car?  You never said.  I would never even consider buying a car without having it checked over by a mechanic, ever.  I can't tell anything from these pictures.

Thanks. Yeah I was gonna look at it today and see if I would buy it
