Car shakes on reverse gear

Hey Scotty,

What could be the reason for my 9th gen Civic (5sp-AT) to slightly shake/vibrate when I set it on reverse? This only happens when I start the car first thing in the morning and again i set it on reverse. But this goes away after.

[btw the rest of the gears don't shake, just reverse and only happens first thing in the morning]

Cheers.

You may have engine or transmission mounts starting to deteriorate.

How old is it? (I have no idea in what years "9th generation" Civics were built and am too lazy to look it up.)

How many miles? Per forum posting rules we really need more information to go on.

Ah, my apology for the lack of info.

- 2012 HondaCivic (Japan version)
- Automatic (5sp)
- 62,000km (38,525 mi)
