Hi I've been hearing different opinions on these car warrantys . I currently have car shield and I've heard bad things about endurance to . My question is are they worth having ? I keep hearing that they blame the repairs on age and wear and tear .
You're better off setting aside money each month in a savings account for possible repairs. (If the warranty costs $125/month that's $1500 per year, $7500 over a period of 5 years!)
Do a search on our forum as this topic about extended warranties has been talked about numerous times.
.
In short, the only extended warranty worth getting is one offered by the OEM or by CarMax (if you buy a car from them). But all these other third party warranty companies are a waste of time and money and there are lots of things they don’t cover and/or they try to deny a claim or weasel their way out.
Sorry about that. It posts more than once need a new phone
If it's a small fix, they will honor their promises. I don't think they will give you an easy time when you need a new engine or transmission. If you decide to buy, get a magnifier and read the small prints in the contract word by word, maybe get a professional proofreader and a lawyer to read it as well.
Ask your local mechanic which one he has good experience with
My mechanic actually recommends endurance
