Hello, I have 2019 Honda Pilot touring all AWD. My car steering shakes a when I let the steering go at 58-65ish mile. It stops shaking when I hold on to it, I feel a tiny bit but that’s it.
I replaced all tires with new one, balanced and aligned. The shakes is random. Sometimes it shakes then if I go faster it’ll stop, and when I slow down again it doesn’t. I’m scratching my head to why it’s doing this.
another issue is sometimes the steering shakes when braking coming out of high way. I’m thinking this is rotor, but first issue don’t seem related.
Steering wheel shaking when braking at high speed is your front rotor/s.
For the high speed shaking when not braking, -
1. Which make of tyres did you buy for your vehicle?
2. Were they balanced correctly?
Assuming you bought a good quality set of tyres, I recommend you take it back to the shop to have the tyres rebalanced correctly (make them do it for free).
If it still does the shaking, my next suspect would be the CV axle, but that would be odd since they shouldn’t have been touched during the tyre change and if it didn’t do the shaking before you purchased new tyres.
Check the tie rod ends.
