Car Stuttering when idle and driving

Topic starter

I have a 2003 RHD Automatic Nissan Fairlady Z, 140k kilometers (Japanese right hand drive model, serving in Okinawa). When I drive the car for about 15 - 20 mins, it starts to "stutter". Like, small to medium hiccups and only gets worse as I drive it (worse as in stutters harder). The car also sits at around 500-700 rpm in idle when in drive, but when put in park, it goes back to its normal 1000rpm range. I have my suspicions that it may be a fuel pump issue, or a spark plug issue, but I figured I'd go on this forum and ask for more advice, thanks for viewing this and potentially helping me!

small to medium hiccup

probably misfiring, which has many causes that you need to investigate. Start with a full diagnostic scan.

I have my suspicions that it may be a fuel pump issue,

so measure the fuel pressure
