Car Turns off when stopped

Hi everyone,
I have a hyundai elantra 2013 4 door, and in the past week my car has turned off twice while waiting for a red light or stopped in traffic.
Both events happened about 10-15 min after I started the car and ended up waiting in traffic. The car has about 133,000 KM on it.

the car will turn off i will see the check engine, oil and battery light flicker only once and then turn off.The car also get locked and only allowed me to change between Drive and Neutral.

Sometimes in the morning normally or on a cold start, the car will tick 1-3 times then start, and then I cannot go past 0 RPM while driving. But then if I stop the car turn it off and on again, it is fine and operates as normally. Sorry if tick isnt the right word its like a chu chu chu sounds .. lol

I also had a member of CAA come out and test my battery which seems to be fine, and he also mentioned that the altenator looks ok, but he didnt really perform any diagnostics.

Does anyone else have any ideas or suggestions as to what can potentially be causing my car to turn off when waiting at red lights if not the battery? It seems my problems are typically mainly only on a cold start.

Thanks you

First have your battery, alternator and starter checked correctly. Proper diagnostics on these components are necessary so you can rule them out. Many of the chain part stores such as Autozone, Oreillys, etc. will do it for free.

Have the car scanned for DTCs while your there. Getting any trouble codes will be helpful for further diagnosis.

You have not provided any maintenance information. Has basic maintenance such as filters and spark plugs been done on a timely basis? Are there any stored codes?

Filters have been recently changed maybe 3 months ago. Oil changes are always done on schedule as per the little stickers I get during oil changes.
Spark plugs were changes approximately 1.5 years ago. I do not know about any stored codes, I dont have any tool to look at them. Maybe I can start there.

Most parts stores like AutoZone etc. will read codes for free. Even if there is no check engine light while running there may be pending codes. (Or there may not be but it's worth checking.)

I will try this out. Thank you.
