I have an 01 Rav4 , 180,000 miles, automatic 4 cylinder. I was having problems with it starting, occasionally, I'd turn the key, nothing, let it sit for a minute or two, it would crank fine. Woke up this morning, all but the driver's side window doesn't work, the speedometer and the ac blower. It started just fine. Went to pick up my son, came home, shut it off, tried to restart, battery is dead. I don't know if all this is related and sure hoping you can help! Thank you Scotty
get your charging system load tested (battery+alternator).
Most part stores offer this as a courtesy.
I will do that and get back to you...thank you
II got the load tested and I needed to replace the alternator, which I did but the problem stills exists. Any ideas?
check the fuses
Hello, I inquired about this not long ago, but I'll start from beginning. I have an 01 Toyota Rav4, 180,000 miles. Got up that morning took my son to work, all was well. Got in it that afternoon to pick my son up, started just fine, my a/c , speedometer and three windows quit working. Only the driver's side worked. After a few tests, discovered the alternator was bad. I have replace the alternator, it is charging and the battery is good. The problem, a)c, speedometer and windows still not working. Fuses are fine, any ideas?
