hey scotty, i have a 2001 toyota camry le with the 3.0 V6, when idling the car vibrates and i can’t seem to find the reason, i changed all the vacuum lines, put oem ngk laser spark plugs in, all new air intake gaskets , was wondering if you could give some advice on what could be wrong.
Does it vibrate in Park or Neutral? What about reverse?
might be worn motor mounts did you check them?
motor and transmission mounts are fine, no clunks or anything when put in gear, car doesn’t vibrate at all while driving it only happens at idle when the engine is warmed up
You might want to physically examine the motor mounts if you have not already done so. On my car they had collapsed completely and there were no clunks, just excess vibration at idle.
i agree with @Chuck Tobias. did you notice engine rpm lower than usual? my car sometimes when the AC is off it idle too low at 550ish and it will start shaking like it about to stall (never stalled tho)
idles in between 600-800 when warmed up
seems ok. check the mounts and tell us if they're ok
Check your TPS. It may not be reading correctly. RPM should be about 700 at idle. Clean the MAF and throttle body, new air cleaner, etc.
