I have a 2020 honda passport, with 8k miles, it vibrates when i hit the brakes at high speeds like 70 mph any idea what it can be on a new car?

If it vibrates when you hit the brakes at high speed it is your brake rotors are warped. If it is your steering wheel that shakes more when you hit the brakes at high speed, then it is your front brake rotors. If car shakes and not so much the steering wheel then it is your rear brakes. Excessive heat will cause warping of the rotors.

Have you owned the vehicle since brand new?

It’s odd for a brand new car to have warped rotors..

Do you drive pedal to the metal, a lot? If not, I’d be asking for an explanation from the dealer & push for a warranty replacement due to some kind of a manufacturing defect with the rotors.

Sounds like a lead foot to me.
